Before I start I thought I should tell you about this month’s Links I Love photo. The photo is of the Forever Marilyn statue that was installed in the centre of Bendigo near where I live. The statue was on loan from the US to help the city celebrate the Bendigo Art Gallery’s Marilyn Monroe exhibition.
It was a very impressive statue, standing 8 metres tall, and it had prime position overlooking the centre of town. I think that it looked even more magical when lit up at night! Regardless of whether or not you are a fan of Marilyn it was certainly a site to behold. This photo was taken in early July a few days before it was dismantled.
Now on to the Links I love from July. As usual I am sharing the direct link as well as a Pinterest pin. So if you want you can head straight to the source or you can pin it for later if you prefer.
I’m going to start with this recipe for Crispy Parmesan Garlic Chicken with Zucchini that I saw at The Recipe Critic. I love a good one pan recipe that is really quick and easy!
Another chicken dish that caught my eye last month is this recipe for Easy Sweet Chilli Chicken from Sally at Sally’s Baking Addiction. Again this is another recipe that looks delicious and easy to make!
Plum recipes also seem to be a weakness of mine! So I just had to share this yummy looking Fresh Plum and Almond Cake that I saw over at Baking Bites. I can’t wait for plum season here!
I also wanted to share these 7 Minute Chocolate Cookies from Lori over at Recipe Girl. These sound like a great idea for those times when you need a chocolate cookie RIGHT NOW!
This recipe for Homemade Nutella Soft Serve from Jessica at How Sweet It Is was always going to be included. If you come up with a recipe that includes the words Nutella and soft serve then you are sure to get my attention!
And what about this Easy Chocolate Birthday Cake from Lucy at Bake Play Smile. I want one of these for my next birthday!
My final recipe link for this month is these Pokémon GO Pikachu Buns that I saw at Not Quite Nigella. I’m not into the Pokémon craze but I still think they look really cute!
I love checking out the ideas people have for DIY coasters so I wanted to share these Clay Coasters from Journey into Creativity. I’ve got some air dry clay that I haven’t used yet so maybe I will make some of these!
If you are into DIY jewellery like I am you will love these DIY Easy Braided Bracelets from Camila at The Crafting Nook. I think that they look wonderful and they are so easy to make!
I also couldn’t resist sharing this link for Safety Pin and Pearl Jewellery that I saw over at Make and Fable. What a clever idea!
One of my other loves is gardening so I was intrigued when I saw this link discussing 20 Edible Garden Flowers: Their Unique Flavors and Their Health Benefits over at Spirit Science. I knew that there were some flowers that you can eat but I didn’t know there were so many! I have a few of these growing in my garden!
We have a few areas of our garden that get quite a bit of shade so I was interested to read about Partial Shade Shrubs over at Get Busy Gardening. It certainly gave me a few more ideas for what to grow in my shady areas.
This link for a Healing and Nourishing DIY Gardener’s Salve that I saw over at One Good Thing By Jillee also got my attention. Even if you wear gloves, gardening can be hard on your hands so a soothing salve sounds like a great idea!
My final link for this month is for this DIY Pool Noodle Drink Carrier that I saw over at The SITS Girls. I don’t have a pool but it looks so easy to make and would be fun to have in a pool!
Well that’s all the links that I have for this month! I saw a lot more links during July but I can’t share them all here. So if you want to see some more great links head over to my Pinterest Page.
