Today is the first official day of spring! It might not have been official until today but it has felt a bit like spring for the last couple of weeks. Our plum and almond trees are covered in blossom and all the spring bulbs are starting to flower. Plus the days have been getting a little bit warmer lately.
Over the winter we have really missed having our own vegetables. So now that it’s beginning to warm up a bit we can start thinking about planting our summer vegetables! I’m sure that I will be busy in the vegetable garden from now on!
In today’s Links I Love post I will be looking back at my favourite links from August. Like I always do, I will be sharing the direct link as well as a Pinterest pin. So feel free to go straight to the source to have a look or just pin it for later.
My first link is these BBQ Chicken Pizza Rolls that I saw at How Does She. These look absolutely delicious and I hope to try the recipe out very soon.
This Lemon Zucchini Cake that I saw over at Shugary Sweets also caught my eye. I just love lemon cakes!
Snickers are one of my favourite chocolate bars so I couldn’t resist this Snickers Cheesecake from Basil and Bubbly. Doesn’t it look divine!
Another chocolate bar that I am quite partial to is a KitKat. So I really want to try making some of these Homemade KitKat Bites that I saw at Bake at 350!
And what about these cool Chocolate Chip Cookie Cones from Ashlee over at Ashlee Marie! It’s a bit too cold for ice cream here at the moment but I’m looking forward to making some over the summer!
My final food link is for the Chocolate Almond Popcorn that I saw over at Not Quite Nigella. I have a bit of a weakness for snacking on nuts and chocolate while watching TV so this will be perfect!
This link for a Water Fireworks Science Experiment that I saw over at The Crafting Chicks looked pretty cool. It looks like a very easy activity to try with the kids!
This Sprinkle Rug DIY from Laura at A Beautiful Mess also got my attention. I love the idea of designing your own pattern for a rug!
What about this neat tutorial showing How to Make an Air Conditioner Screen from Pallets that I found at Pretty Handy Girl! I’m always amazed at what ideas people come up with that use old pallets!
I also love these beautiful DIY Floral Votives that I saw at Design Sponge. They look so easy to make!
I have no idea how to crochet but I still wanted to include these Star Stitch Pouches from All About Ami. These are very cute so, if you can crochet, this link includes all the instruction that you’ll need!
My final link is for these Free Printable Garden Seed Packets from Southern Mom Loves. I have already printed out some of these ready to use in my garden when I save some seeds this summer!
I hope you have enjoyed looking at some of the great links that I saw during August. If you want to see some more head over to my Pinterest Page!
