Easy Walnut Raisin Slice
 
 
Mix all the ingredients together, press into a tray, and then bake! This easy walnut raisin slice is so simple – it is my new favourite slice recipe!
Serves: 32
Ingredients
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • ½ cup of roughly chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup of raisins
  • ½ cup caster sugar
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • ½ cup (125g) butter melted
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup honey
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
  2. Prepare an 8” x 12” x 1.5” slice tin by lining with baking paper (greasing sides if necessary).
  3. Combine all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl and mix well.
  4. Press mixture into slice tin and use the back of a spoon to level the top.
  5. Bake for 20 - 25 mins; slice will have risen and turned golden brown when cooked!
  6. Allow slice to cool in the tin until just warm, and then carefully lift out onto a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
When lining your tin make sure that you have some excess baking paper sticking up over the sides - this will make it easier to lift out of the tin after baking.
