This method for using up leftover puff pastry is passed down from my mother. It’s quick and easy to do it and results in a delicious crunchy sweet treat!
Serves: Depends on how much puff pastry you have leftover!
Ingredients
leftover puff pastry
milk
cinnamon and sugar
Instructions
Preheat oven to 200 °C (400 °F) and line a baking tray with baking paper (hopefully you already have the oven on because you have already been cooking with puff pastry ;) ).
Cut your leftover puff pastry into small pieces (the shape of your pieces will be dictated by the shape of your leftover puff pastry).
Transfer them to your baking tray
Brush the pieces with milk.
Sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar mixture.*
Bake for 10 – 15 mins or until golden brown.
Allow to cool completely and store in an airtight container.
Notes
*I just mix my cinnamon and sugar by eye but I have read that you can mix 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon with ¼ cup of sugar.
