Description
This method for using up leftover puff pastry is passed down from my mother. It’s quick and easy to do it and results in a delicious crunchy sweet treat!
Ingredients
- leftover puff pastry
- milk
- cinnamon and sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200 °C (400 °F) and line a baking tray with baking paper (hopefully you already have the oven on because you have already been cooking with puff pastry).
- Cut your leftover puff pastry into small pieces (the shape of your pieces will be dictated by the shape of your leftover puff pastry).
- Transfer them to your baking tray.
- Brush the pieces with milk.
- Sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar mixture.*
- Bake for 10 – 15 mins or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool completely and store in an airtight container.
Notes
*I just mix my cinnamon and sugar by eye but I have read that you can mix 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon with 1/4 cup of sugar.
