Well it is that time again – time for me to share some of the great links that I have found online during May 2014. I love doing these Links I Love posts because it allows me to share some really great links that I might not use in a regular post.
And that is what this blog is all about really – sharing the good stuff 🙂
I love exploring online and finding more great blogs that I haven’t seen before. There are so many people out there sharing great recipes, crafts, DIY, and gardening tips. I am sure that I only see a fraction of what is out there!
As before I am sharing the links in two ways; firstly I am sharing pins from my Pinterest boards. This way you can use the ‘Pin It’ button and repin them onto one of your boards. I am also sharing the direct link so that you can go directly to the website if you wish.
I love to drool over food blogs so I will start with some great recipe links!
I just love a recipe that is versatile enough that it can be used for different purposes. This raspberry bars recipe from Robyn at add a pinch definitely fits that bill. These yummy looking bars could be a tasty breakfast, a yummy dessert or a delicious snack – so this recipe is definitely a keeper!
I just love, love, love any recipe with cinnamon and sugar in the title. So when I saw this cinnamon sugar swirl cupcakes recipe at Life, Love and Sugar I couldn’t resist pinning it to my Yummy Stuff Pinterest board! These cupcakes have cinnamon and sugar swirled through them and they are frosted with cinnamon icing – yum!
I love mug cakes – being able to make a yummy dessert for one is a great idea! When I saw this awesome looking one-minute chocolate peanut butter mug cake from Samantha at Five Heart Home it really got my mouth watering. I haven’t had many mug cakes before but I plan to try a few out over the cooler months.
I can’t just share yummy cake recipes – I’d better share something that’s healthy too! These turkey taco lettuce wraps from Skinny Taste look delicious. I’m not a big taco fan but I would love to give these turkey lettuce wraps a go.
Another great link that I found in May was one for this DIY vertical plant hanger at i heart nap time. It is always hard to find decorative ways to display potted plants but this one looked very effective. It would be a great way to grow herbs in the kitchen!
I know that Mother’s day is over but I had to share this lovely personalised Mother’s day gift idea. These crepe paper flowers from Swell Mayde look really pretty and they would last longer than cut flowers too!
Speaking of gifts these dangling candy earrings from flat-back gems that I saw at Minted Strawberry would make a great gift. They look really easy to make and you could make several pairs in different colours!
Still on DIY jewellery, I just love these clay pinwheel earrings from Sugar Bee Crafts. I love the idea of making your own jewellery using coloured craft clay. I’m sure young girls would love these earrings!
I also loved this DIY threaded chain bracelet from Adventures In Fashion. The bracelet uses chain and some thick thread to give a unique looking bracelet that could easily be customised to your needs.
Finally I wanted to share this tutorial for DIY Lush inspired bath bombs from Kim at Everything Etsy. They are made using mini metal tart tins and you would never guess that they are homemade! They would make a great homemade gift!
Well that’s all I have for this month’s Links I Love post. If you need me I can be found checking my favourite blogs/websites looking for more great links to share!
