The white chalky build up around the bathroom and laundry taps can be very frustrating. This white build up is actually limescale deposits that have built up over time where hard water has dried. I find it very annoying when I spend time getting the bathroom taps nice and clean only to find that the white chalky marks have reappeared when they are dry! Dripping tap: More Than Just a Leaky Washer!
Water is precious so when the tap in my bathroom began dripping I decided that I needed to change the washers. So I turned off the water at the mains, removed the tap and replaced the worn washers. I thought that this would be the end of the story but when I turned the water back on at the mains the drip was still there!
