Irises: How Do I Grow Them Successfully?

My IrisesI am growing irises at home and recently posted some links showing how to transplant them under the heading Irises: When and How Should I Transplant Them?

 

Since then I have also been looking into other aspects of iris care. In particular I had heard that irises will not flower if their bulb does not get any direct sunlight so I have been looking into this.

 

I have included links to three great sights that provide quite detailed information about how to grow and care for irises, including the conditions that they need in order to flower.

 

Please note these websites are based in the Northern hemisphere so, if like me you live in the Southern hemisphere, remember to take that into consideration when reading them.
