It was the first really cold autumn night we have had last night! It got down to around 1 °C, so it was almost a frost! April was rather mild really considering it’s the second month of autumn. The photo that I am sharing this month is of one of our ornamental pear trees. It’s about the only tree in our yard that has given us some autumn colour so far! The others will have to get a wriggle on because we only have a month to go and we will be into winter!
Today I’m having a look back at the great online stuff that I saw last month. So I will be sharing my favourite links from April. As usual I will provide a direct link so that you can go straight to the source. I will also share a Pinterest pin so that you can pin it for later if you wish.
My first link is for this yummy looking Parmesan Chicken Casserole from Karlynn over at The Kitchen Magpie. I love easy dishes like this so I’m looking forward to trying it out very soon!
These Oven Baked Garlic Parmesan Potato Fries that I saw at Melanie Cooks also caught my eye last month. You can tell that I’m a bit of a fan of parmesan cheese!
I am definitely going to have a go at making this Bread And Butter Pudding from Nagi at Recipe Tin Eats! It is years since I have had a bread and butter pudding!
I can’t have a links I love post without including a sweet lemon recipe! This Lemon Crumb Cake that I saw over at Life Tastes Good definitely looks too good not to share!
Snickers are one of my favourite chocolate bars so I had to share this No Bake Snickers Slice from Lucy at Bake Play Smile. If you’ve ever visited Lucy’s blog you will know how easy it is to be tempted by her delicious no-bake recipes!
It’s not really ice cream weather any more but I love these Pie Crust Ice Cream Cones from Baking Bites. Wouldn’t these be delicious with some apple pie ice cream!
When I’m not drooling over food blogs I’m usually looking at craft sites. Last month over at The Craftaholic Witch I found this great tutorial showing how to Create Rings from Paper Clips. I love it when you can repurpose an everyday item!
Speaking of everyday items, how cool does this Button Lamp Shade from Crafts by Amanda look! I want one of these for my bedroom!
Another colourful project that I saw during April is this tutorial for making Unicorn Spit Pillows from Mark Montano. I love that look but I’m not sure if you can get Unicorn Spit here in Australia!
We have a couple of Phalaenopsis orchids that have never flowered again so I am keen to learn how to get them flowering again. This link from Gardenista discussing How to Make an Orchid Bloom Again gave me a couple of ideas to try!
My final link is for some tips on Growing Hoya Wax Vines from Gardening Know How. I used to have a Hoya years ago, I love their flowers!
Well that’s it for this month’s Links I Love post! I hope you have enjoyed looking at some of the great links that I saw during April. To see more great recipes, craft, and gardening links head on over to my Pinterest page!
