I am constantly looking online for new and interesting ideas. Whether it is recipes, craft or gardening information, I eagerly read as much as I can to see if I can get some handy hints from other people’s good ideas.
In my pursuit of these great ideas I tend to read lots of blogs to see what other bloggers are doing – and I have to say there are some great ideas out there. Sometimes I will be looking for something specific that I need, but often I will just be looking for inspiration.
It also goes without saying that I love sharing the great information and ideas that I find online. While I do share my great finds on Pinterest I feel that I should also share my favourites on the blog. So I have decided to put together a monthly post that is all about sharing my favourite links from blog posts that I have read during the previous month.
In this ‘Links I Love’ post I will be sharing the other great blog posts that I have read from January 2014. I am sharing the direct link as well as a Pinterest Pin. So if you want you can just pin it for later!
I read lots of food blogs so I will start with them!
My first great link comes from Averie at Averie Cooks. Averie shared a recipe for some Strawberry Chocolate Chip Muffins that I must say looked very tempting. I really liked the idea of having strawberries and chocolate chips in a muffin!
I am always on the lookout for low calorie recipes so when I saw this one by Ali at Gimme Some Oven I was very excited. While I haven’t tried out this recipe for Chocolate Chip Meringue Cookies yet, I really love the look of them and I have every intention of making a batch very soon!
I also wanted to share a recipe from a blog that I have only recently discovered. The recipe for ‘Carol’s cookies: Pretty much the easiest biscuits in the world’ shared by Chantelle at Fat Mum Slim really got my attention because I am a sucker for an easy recipe. Any recipe that claims to be the easiest in the world will be a hit with me!
Yummy appetizer ideas always grab my attention, and these fiesta pinwheels from Ashley at Kitchen meets Girl were no exception. These pinwheels with tasty Mexican flavours looked too good to resist!
I just had to share this easy beady bangle bracelet from Crystal at Make it Easy Crafts because I thought it was just so simple and easy. If you have always wanted to have a go at making your own jewellery then this project is easy because there are no hooks or clasps. It looks so simple that it would be a great one for young children. I have a niece that would just love these!
Another blog that I regularly check out is Morning Creativity. This month I fell in love with the apple mugs project that Erlend shared. He used the apple stickers that come with Apple products to do a cute mug design. There is so much that you could do this with this idea. There are so many other shaped stickers out there – you are only limited by your imagination!
Finally I wanted to share this great idea for DIY easy bird feeders from Nichi at The Mandatory Mooch. We have just adopted two cats from the RSPCA and we can no longer put wild bird mix out on the ground. I will be making up some of these feeders very soon so that we can continue to attract wild birds into our garden.
I hope that you have enjoyed seeing some of the great ideas that I found on blogs during January. Maybe one of them will be useful for you?
Next month I will give a roundup of some great links from February!
