Links I Love from May

If you want to see some great recipes, craft, DIY or gardening ideas then you need to check out these awesome links that I saw during May!

May was a fairly quiet month in the garden flower wise. With the cool weather most of the plants are settling in for winter. However one plant that has been flowering lately is the native emu bush (eremophila) in our garden. These plants originate in Western Australia but also seem to grow well, with little care, in south eastern Australia. We have a few of these dotted around our garden but the red one (pictured) is particularly showy in our front yard. It is lovely to see it out the window and the birds and bees also seem to like it.

I am looking at it right now in fact as I get ready to share some of the wonderful links that I came across during May! As I do each month I will share the direct link along with a Pinterest pin. So it is up to you whether you go straight to the source or just pin it for later!

The first link that I want to share is for this Easy Oven Fried Chicken with Honey Mustard Sauce that I saw at Love and Risotto. I think the whole family would love this recipe so I am looking forward to trying it out!

 

Next link that I want you to have a look at is this recipe for Sticky Sesame Cauliflower Bites from Katerina at Diethood. This sounds like a delicious dinner idea for my next meatless Monday!

 

I also want to try out this recipe for Caramel Crumb Bars that I saw over at Annie’s Noms!  This one looks dangerously easy to make!

 

I couldn’t resist including these Homemade Baked Beignets from Rachelle at Bear Naked Food. I just love how these look like delicious little pillows!

 

My final recipe link is for these Caramel Apple Oatmeal Cookies that I saw over at Brownie Bites. I’ve still got some of our autumn apple harvest that would be perfect in these!

 

I just had to share this Printable Scratch Off Heart Balloon Card DIY that I saw at Make and Tell. I think this is a wonderful idea and I can imagine so many ways that I can use it in the future!

 

If you’re always losing your hair ties then this next link might be useful. These DIY Hair Tie Bracelets that I saw at Curly Made look like the perfect way to keep your hair ties handy!

 

It’s been a few years since we had Dalmatians but once you’ve owned a Dally you are always drawn to anything Dalmatian related! This is why I couldn’t resist sharing these DIY Dalmatian Magnets from Homemade Banana!

 

I also thought this Glowing Watering Can with Fairy Lights from Smart School House was a clever idea worth sharing. This would be lovely set up near an outdoor entertaining area during summer!

 

Another watering can idea that caught my eye was this DIY Recycled Watering Can that I saw at OhOh Blog. I love how you can reuse an old plastic bottle to make a stylish watering can!

 

My final link is from Treehugger and it details what an hour of gardening does to your body. I love getting out in the garden so I love that this article outlines all the health benefits of gardening!
