Even though there are hundreds, if not thousands, of diets available today the only really scientifically proven way to lose weight is to make sure that the number of calories consumed is less than the number of calories burned for any given day.
It is relatively easy to track the number of calories that we consume these days because most food items come with a nutritional panel. Even the big fast food outlets like McDonalds and KFC list the number of calories contained in their menu items.
It is harder though to determine exactly how many calories you are burning because the calories that are burned during specific activities is dependent on how much you weigh.
For example if two people go for a walk together, traveling at the same speed and covering the same distance, the heavier person will burn more calories than a lighter person simply because it requires more energy to move the heavier person around.
So how can we accurately determine how many calories we are individually burning? Also what about determining the calories burnt doing everyday chores? Not everyone likes playing sport or going to the gym. So how can non-sporty people calculate the calories they are burning?
The links that I am presenting here can be used to determine more accurately how many calories are being burnt during exercise or activity based on how much you weigh. All of the links I have included take into account the weight of the person undertaking the activity. The first link also takes into account the age, height and gender of the person undertaking the activity.
The links cover sporting type activities as well as other everyday activities such as mowing the lawn, general gardening, and vacuuming.
