This virgin mojito is easy to make and very refreshing on a hot summer’s day! It’s non-alcoholic and all you need is lemon, mint, sugar, and Sprite!
When you have been outside in the garden working or if the weather is super-hot there is nothing more thirst quenching than a big glass of chilled water! I try and drink the recommended 8 glasses of water a day, and most days I don’t have any trouble meeting that quota! That’s because water has no taste, so you can drink it with every meal and you don’t have to worry about if it will clash with the food!

To be honest I had never had a mojito until this summer but after I came across this recipe for a Virgin Mojito I thought that the lemon and mint flavour combination was wonderful. I love that it is a non-alcoholic mojito because I wanted a drink that I could enjoy at any time of day. I understand that an alcoholic mojito has rum in it and you could easily add some rum to this recipe if you wanted to turn it into a proper cocktail!

I wanted to be able to keep the sugar content down so I have adjusted the recipe just slightly. I have enjoyed the refreshing taste of this virgin mojito several times over the summer and I know that I will be making it again next summer too!

We use Agave nectar instead of sugar. Such a refreshing summer drink!
Thanks for the tip Diane, I’ll have to try that!
