Nutella Peanut Butter Cookies on a Blue and White Plate

Whether you’re a Nutella lover, peanut butter devotee, or just a fan of cookies you are sure to love these Nutella Peanut Butter Chip Cookies! A while back my mum gave me some peanut butter chips and I have been wondering what to make with them ever since. I have been putting it off actually because even though I love peanuts I am not a real fan of peanut butter. I don’t mind it using it in cooking but I can’t eat it by the spoonful like others can. The other day, when I went looking for … [Read more...]

Cake Mix Breakfast Muffins

Last updated on: May 7, 2025 By Kaylene Filed Under: Breakfast & Brunch, Muffins, Recipes 2 Comments

Two rows of muffins on a blue and white plate.

These Cake Mix Breakfast Muffins are perfectly sweet and fruity with a delicious hint of coconut and golden syrup. So hard to stop at one! I'm not really into eating cereal for breakfast. I will eat toast if I haven’t got anything else but I much prefer a sweet treat such as a muffin or fruit scone. Made up ahead of time I can have some ready and also freeze some for later. I haven’t made any muffins or scones lately so my freezer supply ran out the other day and I was forced to eat toast! … [Read more...]

You are going to love this delicious and beautifully moist 3 ingredient fruit cake! It is such an easy recipe you will want to make it again and again! I have known that there was a recipe going around for a 3 ingredient fruit cake for a while but I haven’t got around to trying it until now. I copied this one down from the radio last year! So it has been in my ‘to do’ pile for a while! It's very similar to this recipe from Annabel Langbein. I think that I will definitely be making this … [Read more...]

Three rows of golden brown cookies on a sheet of baking paper.

These Golden Cornflake Cookies are so hard to resist. They are soft on the inside with the delicious flavor of golden syrup and crunchy Cornflakes. Today I am sharing another recipe that my mum used to make for me when I was a child. When I was a kid these were like gold. I could have eaten a dozen of these in one sitting!  They are still hard to resist but I have a lot bit more self-control these days! I made mine a bit smaller; using heaped teaspoonfuls of mixture they finished up about … [Read more...]

Easy Nutty Microwave Fudge

Last updated on: December 20, 2019 By Kaylene Filed Under: Candy, Recipes Leave a Comment

This Nutty Microwave Fudge is so simple to make. I used peanuts to get a yummy Snickers like flavour but you could use whatever nuts you prefer! Last year I made a Marbled Chocolate Mint Fudge and I have been dying to make a nutty fudge ever since! I originally imagined making a chocolate fudge with walnuts, but when I finally got around to making this nutty microwave fudge I didn’t have enough walnuts! I did however have a bag of salted peanuts so I used them instead and I am very happy with … [Read more...]

If you are looking for a tasty marinade for chicken, beef, or lamb you can’t go past this easy honey soy marinade - the whole family will love it! I haven’t been one to make my own marinades in the past but lately we have been trying to eat more natural and healthy foods. One way that we have been achieving this is to prepare more of our meals and snacks from scratch at home. So rather than buy a jar of marinade, or meat that has already been marinated, I decided to try making my own … [Read more...]

Nutty Anzac Slice Recipe

Last updated on: April 17, 2016 By Kaylene Filed Under: Bars, Brownies & Slices, Breakfast & Brunch, Recipes Leave a Comment

This Anzac Slice is soft and chewy and has all the flavors of an Anzac biscuit. The addition of walnuts however takes this slice to the next level! With only a week to go until Anzac day I thought that I would share an Anzac Slice recipe.  There is a bit of a twist with this Anzac slice though as it also contains walnuts which give it a delicious nutty flavor. This recipe was cut out of a local newspaper a few years ago and it has become a favorite in our family ever since. It has all the … [Read more...]
