I’ll admit that I just can’t walk past the baking section at the supermarket without having a quick look at the cupcake liners that are on offer. I love these pretty little pieces of paper that make baking so much easier!
I use cupcake liners when I am making cupcakes or muffins because they are not only fast to pop into the baking trays – but they also make clean up afterwards a breeze. The less cleaning the better I say!
As well as being convenient cupcake liners also add that something extra to the cupcakes and muffins they hold. Whether they’re a solid colour, checked, or have a fancy pattern, they make any cupcake or muffin look really special. So when I see some cupcake liners in a colour or pattern that I don’t have, I just have to buy them!
The only down side is that the shelf in my pantry gets stacked high with small packets of cupcake liners. They usually all fall over when I go to get anything out of the pantry! If you buy the same brand the little packets that they come in sometimes stack together but not always.
That is why I decided to put all my cupcake liners together in a storage container. That way they are easier to handle and way more compact in the pantry. I have seen that some people store theirs in a mason jar (see here) but I didn’t want to have to tip them all out just to get to the ones that I want. So I decided that I would put all my cupcake liners together into a square 3.5 litre/118 oz. plastic container. I found that it was the perfect size for grouping and stacking them!
I also got some cupcake stickers at a craft store for a couple of dollars and I added them to the outside of the container. It looks really cute now – if I do say so myself!
The container looks great if kept in the pantry or out on the bench. But best of all when I reach for my cupcake liners I don’t have to worry about causing a cupcake liner avalanche!
