Today I’m sharing some of the cool links that I found during July. They are sure to inspire you to get baking and crafting!
For this month’s Links I Love post I wanted to share a photo of one of the primulas growing in our back garden. I wanted to share it because we didn’t plant any primulas; some just came up by themselves! In fact it has been a few years since we have had any primulas growing in that part of the garden.
We had some landscaping done in that area of the garden this time last year. So we are thinking that when the soil was disturbed it must have triggered a change in some long dormant seeds still buried in the ground. Actually we have seen this phenomenon once before.
A few years ago we ripped out some old tatty looking succulents from a raised bed. Later that year a wonderful patch of petunias sprung up and flowered all summer. Again it had been years since we had had any petunias in that bed. Isn’t it just amazing how a small seed can stay dormant under the ground for so long before popping up again!
Speaking of amazing; I had better show you some of the amazing links that I saw during July! As usual I will share the direct link as well as a Pinterest pin. So feel free to head straight to the source or just pin it for later if you don’t have time now!
The first link that I want to share is for this Broccoli Salad that I saw at Recipe Tin Eats. I have never actually had broccoli in a salad before so I’m interest in trying this out!
The next recipe link that I want to share is for this yummy looking Sausage Stuffed Zucchini from Recipe Girl. These look so good; I know that I’ll be trying this recipe out over summer with our homegrown zucchinis!
I would also love to try this recipe for Snickers Cookies that I saw over at Not Quite Nigella. Snickers are one of my favorite chocolate bars so these cookies would go down a treat!
One more cookie recipe that I am planning to try is this one for Small Batch Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies from Dessert for Two. I love the idea of making just a few cookies at a time, not to mention they look delicious!
Another link from July that I want to share is this tutorial from Frugal Family Times showing How to Make a Denim Quilt Using Old Jeans. I just love seeing creative ways to recycle old jeans!
And what about this beautiful Butterfly Lantern that I saw over at My Poppet Makes! This looks quite easy to make and would be pretty decorating a child’s room.
The final link that I want to share is this tutorial for DIY Glass Cracked Gems from Color Made Happy. I love how pretty these look and I can imagine using them for lots of projects!
Well that is all of the links that I wanted to share from July. I hope you have found them as interesting as I did. If you want to see some more great links head over to my Pinterest Page and have a look!
