Before I launch into sharing some of my favourite links from March 2014 I thought I would wish everyone a happy Easter. Technically Easter is almost over but it is still Easter Monday so I don’t think I’m too late. I have had a nice quite relaxing weekend so far, catching up with family and indulging in some yummy chocolate! If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know that I count calories to maintain my weight, but you can’t celebrate Easter without having a few chocolates! That’s my excuse anyway 😉
Well I have been scouring the internet again lately and have come up with some more great links that you must check out. I love sharing recipes that I have seen that really get my mouth watering or gardening ideas that I think are really useful.
I have included the direct link so you can check it out straight away but if you don’t have time to visit the blog or website just click the “Pin It” button and you can Pin It for later. Or you can come back here later too! I thought that I would start with a couple of cute Easter related links.
If you are a bit crafty and enjoy putting up Easter decorations then you have to check out these 9 super cute Easter decorations from Mila’s Little Things.
Another Easter blog post that really took my fancy was the Cascarones Easter Egg Surprise Countdown from Chelsey at The Paper Mama. I loved the idea of decorating some eggs and using them as a kid’s countdown to Easter. I haven’t seen any Easter countdown ideas before so I really wanted to share this one!
I am always on the lookout for breakfast recipes because I am not a cereal and milk kind of girl. These tropical morning muffins found at Baking Bites look and sound very good. They got my attention because they would be a really yummy breakfast while also containing lots of healthy fruit.
One of my favourite flavours when baking would have to be lemon! I quite often get a craving for a piece of lemon cake or slice. When I saw this recipe for The Best Lemon Bars Ever at Love Bakes Good Cakes I knew that I had to share it. Not only does it look super delicious it also sounds very quick and easy to prepare. We have lots of lemons turning on our tree so I hope to make this recipe very soon!
Speaking of quick and easy recipes these Raspberry Crumb Bars from Jaclyn at Cooking Classy sound really easy to make and look irresistible. I love cooking but I prefer quick and easy recipes so I will be keeping this recipe handy!
It was not only recipes that caught my eye while I was online during March 2014. I am always on the lookout for gardening hints and tips. I was able to get some good ideas for using Newspapers in the garden from Katie’s Farm. We usually use old newspapers to smother small weeds when putting down mulch but this link shares many other handy uses for newspaper in the garden.
If you have hellebores in your garden then you might be interested in some growing tips for this lovely plant that has beautiful flowers in winter. We have a few growing in our garden so I was interested in this question and answer type article about growing hellebores, with judith knott tyler. The interesting interview was found at A Way to Garden and provided some great information from a grower with 30 years’ experience.
The final link that I want to share is for these edible rose cake pops that I found while visiting Twigg Studios. I have seen edible flowers made before, but none that have included a cake pop! They look so real I wouldn’t want to eat them!
I hope you have enjoyed seeing some of my favourite links from March 2014. If you are anything like me they will have inspired you to get baking, crafty, or gardening!
