I was doing some weeding in my garden recently and I accidently put a fork through a piece of my drip irrigation system. I wasn’t sure how I should fix it and found that taping it up didn’t work. I found the following videos that show how to remove the damaged section of pipe and then insert a barbed coupling piece to re-join the two pieces of pipe.
A video I found at the IrrigationRepair.com website shows what material you will need as well as how to repair a leak in your drip irrigation hose.
A related video can also be found at This Old House website: How to Repair Drip Irrigation
Today I put that information to good use and successfully repaired my irrigation system!

This is such a good idea for repairing a hose! I like the idea of fixing the hose instead of throwing it out and getting a new one. I’m glad to hear that your endeavor was successful.

Thanks Kayla, it is definitely better to try repairing first!

Good stuff, Kaylene. Praise the internet, right?
We can learn how to do almost anything from the internet–I remember someone almost built a nuclear reactor based on some …online tutorials. We live in an interesting world.
