I can’t believe how much of a contrast the last two weeks have been. This time two weeks ago I was sitting back and enjoying the summer heat in Cairns in Far North Queensland. It was so nice to soak up the sunshine in the tropical heat by day and then spend the balmy evenings sipping a nice cool glass of wine or two.
In a stark contrast, when I arrived home last week I found myself struck down with a very nasty sinus infection! I have been feeling very sad and sorry for myself and painkillers have been my best friend. Talk about two weeks that were like chalk and cheese!
While I don’t want to dwell on the sinus infection too much, it has slowed me down and as a result I haven’t been able to get to the blog in the last few days! Now that I am recovering I have decided to give you a sneak peek into my next post.
I love travelling to Cairns, so much so that I have been there about six times in the last few years. And I’m pretty sure that I will go back again sometime! After so many visits to the region I have developed some favourite spots that I like to go to while I’m there and I have tried out lots of the great tourist attractions available.
There is so much to see and do in the Cairns region so I hope to inspire you to travel there and see for yourself. In my next post I will share some of my favourite things to do while in Cairns.
Here are a few of the great images that I have taken while in the Cairns region just to give you a taste of what’s to come.
Whether it’s beautiful rainforests, beaches or waterfalls; amazingly colourful plants or the even marvellous wildlife that you like to see, Cairns definitely has it all!
So stay tuned for my next post where I will give you some more information and links for some of the great activities to do while in Cairns.
