Links I Love (April and May)

Last updated on: June 23, 2015 By Kaylene Filed Under: Links I Love Leave a Comment

My favourite links from January 2015We are well and truly into winter now and the days seem to be so short at the moment. I miss the long days of summer! I find it quite fun to browse other blogs online and see what people in different parts of the world are up to. However it makes me very jealous of bloggers in the northern hemisphere right now as they are just starting summer! I’ll just have to be content with sitting by the fire looking at some of the great spring and summer blog posts that others are writing! As you know I love looking at other blogs for ideas and inspiration and I also love sharing what I find.

So it is time once again to show you some of the great links that I have come across over the last couple of months. In today’s post I will show you some of the great links that I have seen during April and May.

As usual I will be presenting these great links in two ways. Firstly I will provide the direct link to the original source, but I will also provide a Pinterest pin as well. This means that you can either click on the direct link to read it straight away or if you want to you can click on the ‘Pin It’ button and pin it for later.

So go get a nice warm drink and something to munch on and then sit back and be prepared to be inspired! I might not inspire everyone to get crafty but I know I will make everyone hungry (which is why I suggested munchies) because I always start with some delicious looking links from food blogs!

Today I am starting with these Chewy Brownie Cookies with M&M’s from Stephanie at Back for Seconds. I know that I would definitely be ‘back for seconds’ if I was anywhere near these brownies!

The same goes for these Pavlova Cupcakes that I saw at A Cookie Named Desire. I love a good Pavlova so I’d love to try a Pavlova cupcake!

What about this delicious looking Raspberry and Lime Slice from Cyndie at Mademoiselle Slimalicious! It looks wonderful and sounds easy to make – I will be trying this recipe out for sure!

I had to include this Quick Fix Chocolate Pudding that I saw over at My Kitchen Stories because … well it’s chocolate pudding, need I say more!

I’ll give your sweet tooth a break now and move on to some delicious savouries. Firstly check out these tasty looking Spinach and Red Pepper Mini Frittatas that I found at Flying on Jess Fuel – yum!

Most of my Links I Love posts usually include a pizza recipe, and this one is no different. Recently I saw this tasty looking Thai Pizza with Zucchini and Pickled Onions at I Heart Naptime . If you are like me and you love pizza as well as Thai food then you need to have a look at this one!

The last of my food links has to be this great post on New Ways With Brussels Sprouts that is saw over at The nOatbook.  We are growing our own Brussels sprouts this year and I can’t wait to try out some of these suggestions!

Speaking of gardening, how about this really cool Vintage Ice Bucket Compost Bin DIY Tutorial from Prettyography! I have never thought about making a compost bin but this one looks so good I might have to give it a try!

I love homemade jewellery so I had to share this Hardware Store Necklace that I saw over at A Beautiful Mess. Never in a million years would I think to do this, but it looks pretty cool don’t you think?

This Rainbow Pom Pom Necklace from This Heart of Mine also caught my eye because it reminded me of when I used to make pom poms as a kid!

Also check out this nifty Log Slice Pencil Holder from Craftaholics Anonymous. What an original way to keep your pencils organised!

What about these cute Phulkari Inspired Perler Bead Coasters from Raj at Pink Chia Living. I think they look wonderful and they are something that the kids could help you make.

Finally, I don’t wear high heels that often but I thought that this DIY Grid Shoe Storage Display from Caroline at Burkatron was such a great idea! Once again it is not something that I would have thought of myself – but it just works!

Well that’s it for now; I hope that inspired you to get crafting or baking, if you want to see more great links why not check out my Pinterest Page!
