How to Rejuvenate Dry or Clumpy Mascara

Last updated on: May 22, 2016 By Kaylene Filed Under: Health & Beauty, How To Leave a Comment

How to Rejuvenate Dry or Clumpy MascaraDo you throw your dry or clumpy mascara away after a couple of months? Up until recently I did! Today however I am sharing a quick and easy tip that might help both of us to save some money!

I was considering purchasing a new tube of mascara the other day when I remembered that I had seen something on Pinterest showing how to restore dry or clumpy mascara. I went back for a look and found this link that shows a very easy way to restore dry or clumpy mascara using eye drops. I didn’t have any eye drops but I had been thinking about getting some because I sometimes suffer from dry eyes. It was very easy to get some for about 5 dollars at the pharmacy.

If your mascara is dry or clumpy add a few eye drops to bring it back to life!Once I had the eye drops it was a simple case of adding a few drops to the tube of mascara. It worked really well too. My once dry mascara was almost as good as new again!

Reviving Your Dry or Clumpy Mascara

What you will need:

A tube of dry or clumpy mascara

Eye drops

Directions:

Remove the brush from the mascara and add several eye drops.

Replace the brush and then twist the brush around inside the tube.

Apply your mascara as usual!

If you think that your mascara is still a bit dry add a couple more eye drops.

Adding a few eye drops will allow you to use your dry or clumpy mascara for a few more weeks! This should allow you to keep using your mascara for a few more weeks. It is also important to remember that you should not pump the mascara bush up and down in the tube when you are using it. As we use mascara we introduce air into the tube every time the brush is removed and replaced. This action slowly dries out the mascara and eventually it becomes too dry to use or produces ugly clumps of mascara.

I hope that you find this tip useful. Beauty products are so expensive to buy; it would be a shame to throw them away when they still have some life left in them!
