This summer seems to be just flying! I can’t believe that we are into the last month of summer! It seems like only yesterday it was the start of January and now we’ll be into autumn at the end of this month!
When I was a kid the summer holidays seemed to last forever. Now the weeks, months, and even years just seem to disappear so quickly! Perhaps time goes faster as an adult because we have more that we are trying to get done!
One part of summer that I still have to look forward to is eating home grown watermelons! We have six watermelons on the way. Four of them are quite a good size so we are eagerly awaiting the signs that they are ready to harvest! There’s nothing better than tucking into some chilled watermelon on a hot day!
Anyway let’s get looking at some links from January! As usual I will be sharing the direct link as well as a Pinterest pin. So feel free to head straight over for a look or just pin it for later – whichever you prefer!
I’m also sharing a cute video at the end of this post so make sure to keep reading until the end!
I thought I’d start with some Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken Tacos from Katerina at Diethood. They look so good and you can easily make them in the slow cooker!
Another recipe that got my attention during January is this Steak Sandwich from Nagi at Recipe Tin Eats. I haven’t had a steak sandwich for ages but I’d love to get my teeth into one of these!
Same goes for this Cheese Stuffed Baked Spaghetti that I saw over at Picky Palate. Anything that is cheese stuffed is okay with me! 😉
My biggest weakness with recipes would have to be sweet lemon desserts! So these Lemon Hand Pies from Aimee at Shugary Sweets certainly had me drooling!
I was also drooling when I saw this Easy Nutella Salted Caramel Cheesecake from Center Cut Cook. It has Nutella, salted caramel, and it is no bake – need I say more!
This next link from Smitten Kitchen is not a recipe but a set of tips showing an easier way to make cookies. I love all the handy hints to speed up the cookie making process. Some I knew about but others I didn’t!
I also wanted to share this link for a cool Pearl Dangle Earring DIY that I saw over at A Beautiful Mess. These look so easy to make, I can’t wait to have a go!
I’m definitely going to have a go at making some of these DIY Paper Feathers that I saw at Ohoh Blog. I’m not sure where I would use them but I want to make some anyway!
This idea for 5 Minute Waffle Cone and Flower Party Centerpieces from Jen at Tatertots and Jello caught my eye last month. It is so simple but it looks very cute!
If you’re doing (or planning on doing) any laundry cabinet organising you might want to check out this next link. Jen from I Heart Organizing has some great ideas for Organizing the Laundry Room Sink Cabinet including a couple of very clever ideas for cabinet door organisers.
My final link is for a video that I saw last month at Huffington Post. It was posted to YouTube in December but I didn’t see it till January so I’m going to include it here. It’s for an animal shelter in the US and it gave me a good laugh. I hope you enjoy it too!
I hope you enjoyed having a look at some of the great links that I saw during January. Feel free to head over to my Pinterest Page if you want to see some more!
