The weather has been up and down these last few weeks. We had hot days and hot nights towards the end of November but the start of December has been quite cool. We have had plenty of rain over the last few weeks too. That has been good for the garden but unfortunately the weeds have enjoyed the rain as well. So we have still been weeding when we have normally finished our springtime weeding by now!
We’ve got some tromboncino plants growing in the veggie garden this year. We decided to grow these instead of regular zucchinis for a change. I have never eaten a tromboncino let alone grown one so this summer will be a first! I have included a photo of our first baby tromboncino with this post because they look so cute!
As I usually do with these posts, I have included the direct link so that you can head on over and have a look. I am also including a Pinterest pin so you can pin it for later if you wish. So let’s get down to business!
The first recipe that I wanted to share is for these Crockpot Sausage and Potatoes that I saw over at The Salty Marshmallow. This really is my type of meal – I love anything with sausages and vegetables!
These Cheesy Mashed Potato Puffs from The Kitchn caught my eye during November. They would make a great Christmas party appetizer!
Another appetizer that I would love to try is this Cheese and Herb Pastry Straws recipe that I saw at Picklebums. I could eat a whole plate of these on my own!
These Baked Bread Rolls Topped with Ham and Cheese by Adina at Where is My Spoon also got my attention last month. This recipe sounds like a deliciously quick and easy brunch idea.
On a sweeter note I also wanted to share this recipe for Spiced Butternut Squash Layer Cake that I saw at Baking Bites. We call butternut squash a pumpkin here in Australia, but whatever you want to call it it’s delicious in a cake!
The final recipe link that I want to share is for this Christmas Cake Roll from Dorothy over at Crazy for Crust. I love how Christmassy this cake looks!
Something else I like the look of is these DIY Flower Earrings from Stephanie at Make and Tell. I’d like to make these in a few different colours!
Because you can never have too many earrings I’m also sharing these DIY Trapeze Earrings from Lia Griffith. These would make a great Christmas gift!
If you’re looking for a cute DIY Christmas decoration for your front door you’ll love this Glittered Pinecone Door Hanger that I saw at Pretty Handy Girl. I’ve got plenty of pine cones that I could use for this!
These Mini Wood Sign Christmas Ornaments from The Crafting Nook would also look great around the house this festive season. Plus it’s a great way to use up any scrap pieces of wood you have lying around!
My final link is for this Christmas Tree Card tutorial that I saw at Branch Studio. This link includes a printable PDF Christmas tree drawing as well as instructions on how to paint it – so pretty!
I hope these links from November have inspired you as much as they have me to get crafting and baking! There are so many things to try before Christmas! If you’re looking for even more inspiration head over to my Pinterest Page for a look!
