Links I Love from February

Last updated on: March 5, 2018 By Kaylene Filed Under: Links I Love Leave a Comment

Check out these great links from February if you want to get baking or crafting and you’re looking for some inspiration! thelinkssite.comNow that we are into March it is official autumn! It doesn’t quite feel like autumn yet though because the days are still quite warm. We had a funny end to summer actually this year because February was uncharacteristically mild. We have had some fairly warm days but they haven’t been as hot as usual. Plus the nights have been nice and cool and that seems to make a big difference.

It’s a bit of a contrast to last February which was very hot and uncomfortable! Actually last February was horrible in more ways than one. Last February one of our cats (Wally) was bitten by a snake and we nearly lost him. The vet had to administer 3 vials of anti-venom, he was on a ventilator for quite a few hours, and spent almost a week in hospital. The spring/summer snake season is something that we have dreaded ever since we adopted our two cats!

This year has been a lot less stressful though. That’s because we had cat nets installed in early spring. The nets mean that Maddy and Wally are now confined to a large enclosure at the back of our house. No more wandering off and playing with snakes!

Our two wouldn’t have coped well with being completely house bound so the nets have been a great compromise. I can highly recommend getting cat nets if you have a cat or cats that you are worried about. It is a bit pricey but it’s been money well spent at our house!

Enough about cats and snakes, it’s time I showed you some of the links that I saw during February. As I always do I will share the direct link as well as a Pinterest pin. So feel free to go straight to the source now or just pin it for later if you prefer!

The first link that I want to share is for this Creamy Split Pea Hamburger Soup from Karlynn over at The Kitchen Magpie. This looks so good and with the cooler weather approaching I can see some of this in my future!

I would follow a bowl of that soup with one of these Chicken Parmesan Sliders that I saw at Flavor Mosaic. These look so yummy!

Speaking of yummy I just had to share this Pizza Dip from Brown Eyed Baker. A dip packed with classic pizza flavours sounds delicious!

For something a bit sweeter I would love to get my teeth into one of these Strawberry Lemon Cheesecake Croissants that I saw over at A Latte Food. Anything sweet with lemon in it is welcome at my house!

I also love a quick and easy recipe so I thought I’d share this Easy Black Forest Cake recipe from Crafting Chicks. This recipe sounds dangerously easy to make!

The final recipe link that I wanted to share this month is for these cute Dog Cookies that I saw at Not Quite Nigella. Such a wonderful cookie to make during the year of the dog!

This Free Butterfly Art from The Handmade Home caught my eye last month. I’m drawn to anything to do with butterflies at the moment because of the dainty swallowtails we’ve been watching in our garden lately!

This Floating Glitter Necklace that I saw over at Clumsy Crafter also caught my eye last month. I really want to try making one of these!

I also liked this tutorial that I saw at Pretty Handy Girl showing how to Turn a Desk Organizer into a Charging Station. Such a great way to keep your desk tidy!

Finally I wanted to share this Wall Cat Lounger made from an old basket that I saw over at Vintage with Laces. Our cats would love these!

Well that’s it for this month’s Links I Love post. I hope you have enjoyed seeing some of the great links that I saw during February. If you’re looking for even more inspiration head over to my Pinterest Page for a look!
