Make some bright colorful washi tape earrings quickly and easily using recycled plastic. With different washi tape you can customize them to any colors you want! I wanted to have a go at making some more of my own earrings and I wanted them to be easy to make. In the past I have made some using milk bottle plastic and tomato sauce bottle plastic but I wanted to make some that were bright and multi-colored! Plastic Earrings from Recycled Sauce Bottles

Last updated on: September 17, 2015 By Kaylene Filed Under: Craft, DIY, How To, Jewellery 7 Comments

These plastic earrings are easy to make from everyday recycled materials!

I love making my own jewellery from recycled materials. Like these cool plastic earrings that were made from part of a squeeze tomato sauce bottle! Earlier this year I shared a tutorial on how to make some really cute plastic earrings from recycled milk bottles. They were so easy to make that I have been wondering how I could make some more using different colours! The milk bottles are really easy to work with but unfortunately they only come in one colour – white! So I had to start looking … [Read more...]

In particular I wanted to make some of my own earrings because I tend to wear earrings more than necklaces, bracelets, or rings. I like earrings … [Read more...]

I haven’t had an ink stain on any of my clothes for such a long time. I actually can’t remember the last time that I had to seriously think about ink stain removal. I’m not complaining mind you! Last week though I was using my legs as a desk while I made some quick notes and, you guessed it, I managed to get a big blue pen mark on the knee of my jeans! It probably wouldn’t have been a big problem if I was wearing blue jeans. But no, I wasn’t wearing blue jeans was I! I just happened to be … [Read more...]

Jewellery Cleaning: Doing it Safely at Home

Last updated on: November 16, 2013 By Kaylene Filed Under: Cleaning, Jewellery Leave a Comment

I was disappointed when I used store bought jewellery cleaner and then found that my jewellery still didn’t look clean. I then started to wonder whether or not I could find some do it yourself recipes online for jewellery cleaner.   I found many sites that suggested the use of detergent mixtures. Many proposed mixtures contained baking soda, salt and/or ammonia in various combinations and I also found several sights that recommended the use of toothpaste.   I started to … [Read more...]
