Sometimes we can get a bit of warm weather in August but it was fairly cool this year. While I’m looking forward to the warmer weather I’m not too sad that it’s still cold. That’s because where I live when the weather warms up the snakes come out! And that means that our two cats become confined to inside the cat nets.
Over the winter when there is no risk of coming across any snakes we allow the cats to roam around the garden with us. They actually don’t seem to mind the nets (we have a fairly large area for them) but it is nice to let them out so they can have a bit more freedom.
So I thought this month that I’d share a photo of Wally climbing a tree. Wally is always looking to go higher so climbing trees is one of his favourite things to do. Soon he’ll have to be content with climbing to the top of the cat tree!
When the weather really warms up the cats will be confined to the nets completely. They seem to soon adjust to the change however. Overall getting cat nets was one of the best things we have ever done. It allows the cats some outside time without us having to worry about them chasing (and getting bitten by) snakes!
Well enough about the cats, time to have a look at some of the great links that I came across during August. I’ll be sharing the direct link as well as a Pinterest pin. That way you can check it out straight away or pin it for later if you prefer.
The first link that I want to share is for these Sausage, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Bagels that I saw at Graceful Little Honey Bee. These look like a delicious way to start the day – and easy too!
Something else that looks delicious is this recipe for Lasagna Roll Ups that I saw at Meg’s Everyday Indulgence. What a great way to make lasagna with a twist!
Due to my love of everything lemon I just had to share these Lemon Blueberry Cupcakes from Marie at Sugar Salt Magic. I can see these in my future!
Another recipe that I am keen to try is the Apple Cinnamon Dump Cake that I saw over at Smart School House. This recipe looks really easy and uses a boxed mix so I’m keen to try it out very soon!
The final recipe link that I want to share is for this Skinny Peach Lemonade that I saw over at Crayons and Cravings. I’ve never tried peach lemonade before; it sounds wonderful!
When I’m not looking at recipes, I’m often checking out DIY jewellery. So when I saw these pretty Heat Transfer Vinyl Earrings over at Simply Made Fun I just had to share!
And what about these cute Wood Bead Earrings that I saw at Bliss Makes! These look super easy to make – I’m going to have to get me some wood beads!
The final link from August that I want to share is for this DIY Japanese Maple Tree that I saw at The House That Lars Built. It looks so real; you would hardly believe that it is made out of paper!
Well I hope you have found these links from August as interesting as I did. Head over to my Pinterest page if you want to see some more great links!
