For these posts I usually like to share a photo of something that I saw in my garden during the previous month. This month I’m sharing a photo of a tromboncino that I took in late October. We grew tromboncino for the first time last summer and they’re going to a regular in our summer vegetable garden from now on!
I had never heard of a tromboncino plant until earlier last year. Now I can’t imagine not having some growing in the veggie patch! They’re such a funny looking vegetable; I love the loop in this one!
The tromboncino in the photo is the last of our harvest from last summer! I didn’t think that we would still be eating tromboncino in October but they stored very well over winter. We love them because you can eat them green during summer or allow them to mature and store them for winter. We have been enjoying their butternut like flavour all winter!
Something else that I always enjoy is checking out other ideas from around the web. Today I’m sharing some of the links that caught my eye during October. As usual I will share a Pinterest pin as well as a direct link. That way you can either go straight to the source or pin it for later!
The first link that I want to share is for this Baked Bacon Cheese Dip recipe that I saw at Mom on Timeout. With five different types of cheese it would be a hit at any party!
This Cheesy Chicken Stuffed Bread that I saw at Simply Delicious Food also got my attention last month! I definitely want to try this recipe!
And how good does this Spiced Rum Caramel Apple Milkshake from Amy at Living Locurto look! That is my kind of milkshake!
I love my apple crumble so I just had to share these Apple Crumble Cookies from Rock Recipes. Definitely another recipe that I have to try!
You also need to check out these Cinnamon Roll Sugar Cookies that I saw at Picky Palate. What a great idea to make a sugar cookie version of a cinnamon roll!
The final link that I wanted to share from October is a craft link. I love the look of these Snowflake Ornaments that I saw over at Mad in Crafts. I can’t wait to have a go at this simple craft project that uses Liquid Sculpey.
That’s all the links that I have for now. I hope you have enjoyed seeing these great links that I saw during October. If you want to see some more handy links head over to my Pinterest page!
