Links I Love from July 2014

Last updated on: August 23, 2014 By Kaylene Filed Under: Links I Love Leave a Comment

Links I Love July 2014 - thelinkssite.comNow that we are well and truly into August it is time to look back at some of the great links from July 2014. I love reading other blogs and seeing what great content is out there. There seems to be an endless supply of yummy recipes, gardening ideas, and cool craft online.

I really wish there were more hours in the day because there are so many great projects out there that I would love to try. Until I do get a chance I will have to be content with passing on the links!

As I have in the past I will share the direct links so that you can go directly to the websites if you wish. I will also share Pinterest pins of the links. That way you can use the ‘Pin It’ button to pin the link to your Pinterest boards if you want to.

I am starting with recipes but the ones that I have included are just a few of the many that captured my attention – if I pinned every yummy recipe that I see each month this post would be very long!

The first link for Mini Cinnamon Sugar Popovers was found at Averie Cooks. This recipe grabbed my attention because I have never heard of a popover, let alone tried one. I don’t think that they are well known here in Australia, or perhaps it is just me? Another thing that attracted me to this recipe was the fact that it is so easy to make. All ingredients are mixed up in the blender – how easy is that!

Another snack that I have never tried before is the snickerdoodle. I have heard of them but I have to admit that I have never tasted one. I am keen to try them one day so when I saw The Best Snickerdoodle Cookie Recipe from Kirsty at The Girl Who Ate Everything I thought that I had better pin this for later!

Quick and easy dinner ideas are also a big hit around these parts. A delicious looking dish that can be put together in around 30 minutes will always be a winner! That’s why I wanted to share this Spicy Sausage and Pepper Pasta recipe that I found at Two Peas and Their Pod.

My final recipe link is for one of my favourite sauces. This recipe for Homemade Tartar Sauce from Camila at Titi Craft really sparked my interest because I love homemade tartar sauce. I’m really looking forward to trying it because the stuff you get in a bottle or jar just doesn’t compare to homemade tartar!

I love a bit of crafty DIY so I wanted to share this great idea for a DIY Tile Mirror that I found at What’s Ur Home Story. The transformation of a fairly pain full length mirror into a beautiful decorative piece for the bedroom is amazing.

These DIY Cork Flower Vases from A Night Owl Blog are so cute. I’m all for unique vases, so I think the use of this cork tape to jazz up a plain vase is a wonderfully easy DIY project.

When I saw these DIY Marbled Coasters from Design Sponge I immediately thought of how great they would be for summer outdoor entertaining! You can’t go past craft that turns something fairly ordinary into something that is unique.

Speaking of outdoor entertaining, I just had to share this Paint Your Own Outdoor Rug tutorial from A Beautiful Mess. I don’t really have anywhere suitable to do this at my house but I think it looks great and is well worth mentioning.

The last link that I wanted to share is for a gorgeous Watermelon Nail Art Tutorial that I found at The Nailasaurus. I love looking at nail art and one day I would love to try it myself – not sure it would last very long when I get working in the garden thought!

Well that’s it for the Links I Love from July 2014 post. If you want to see more great links make sure you check out my Pinterest account and feel free to follow me if you want to get these great links and more on your Pinterest timeline.
