Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Wishing all my readers a very Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year!

Well Christmas is upon us and it is going to hot here according to the forecast! Actually we’re in for a heatwave over the next week. Nothing under 37°C (98°F) and up to 41°C (105°F) in the coming days. So it will be cold meats and salads for us on Christmas day!

Thankfully we usually do most of our cooking on Christmas Eve – it’s often too hot on Christmas day! Actually as I write this the Christmas pudding is steaming away on the stove. I am really looking forward to enjoying some of that tomorrow! Something else I’m looking forward to tasting is my Christmas cake. It is a tradition in our family to cut the Christmas cake on Christmas Eve so that will be happening very soon!!

I usually like to share a cute Christmas video on Christmas Eve and this year is no exception. I saw this video on YouTube a couple of days ago and thought that I’d include it here. I’m a sucker for a cute animal video and this one features a dachshund – they’re so cute! I hope this video puts a smile on your face!
