The Best Way to Keep Your Sandwich Maker Clean

I don’t know about you but when I have a toasted sandwich I normally like to include a nice amount of cheese. Sometimes I will cut a slice of cheese but other times I will use some shredded cheese. Either way I usually end up with plenty of oozy cheese all over the plates of the sandwich maker!

Now I could leave out the cheese and make the clean-up easier but you have to have cheese in a toasted sandwich! Agreed?

I’ll assume were all agreed on that! So now I’ll let you in on a little secret to how I keep my sandwich maker clean. The secret is to prevent the sandwich ingredients from touching the actual sandwich maker plates. For this I simply use two pieces of baking paper!

A boxed roll of baking paper can be seen in the background.Yep all you need to do is cut two pieces of baking paper to the same size as your sandwich maker plates and you’re all set! Simply put one piece under your sandwich and one on top and press away.  You can get away with only using one piece under the sandwich but I use one on top as well to keep the top plate clean.

It saves so much on clean up. If your sandwich had oozed all over the place you can simple throw the paper away. On the other hand if you only have a little bit of cheese that has oozed out then it will easily lift off the baking paper so you can use it again! If your sandwiches aren’t very messy then you can use the baking paper several times before throwing it away.
