Printable labels for preserves such as beetroot! thelinkssite.com

We have just recently harvested the last of the beetroot that we planted towards the end of summer and we have managed to preserve a few jars! It is wonderful to know that we can continue enjoying it over the winter. Now that we have tried home grown beetroot we definitely prefer it over the bought canned variety.

After putting so much effort into growing and then preserving the beetroot I wanted to make the jars look nice with some fancy printable labels! I had a look online but I could not find any that were specific for beetroot but I did find a link for some labels that included vegetable preserve labels. Check out the link to the World Label blog here, where you can find some really nice printable labels for vegetables, jams, and salsas.

The labels are free as long as you are only using them for your own personal use. You can print them out and stick them on with glue or as you will see when you visit the link, the World label sells sheets of blank label stock that you can order.

Or you could do what I did and buy your own sheets of adhesive paper and print the labels out onto that! I had to cut my labels out by hand but it wasn’t that hard because they were just circles.

In fact the whole process was very easy:

  1. Select which labels you want (from here)
  2. Open the PDF label file and add your own specific details to the labels where necessary*
  3. Print them out
  4. Stick them onto your jars!

* You could add your own details by hand if you have nice handwriting; this would also add a personal touch.

They look really nice sitting on the shelf in the pantry and they would also be wonderful if you wanted to give your preserves away as gifts. This is the first time that I have ever grown enough beetroot to preserve and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

What do you preserve from your garden?
